Grenada is a picturesque island nation in the eastern Caribbean Sea, located just south of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and about 100 miles north of Trinidad and Tobago. The country includes the main island of Grenada, the smaller islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique, and several islets. Its capital, St. George’s, is known for its scenic harbor and colonial charm. English is the official language, though French patois is also spoken.

Christianity is deeply rooted in Grenadian culture, with the vast majority of the population identifying as Christian. The Church continues to be a vital source of hope and community.

Grenada lies on the edge of the hurricane belt and was severely impacted by hurricanes in 2004 and 2005, which destroyed much of the island’s infrastructure. The agriculture and tourism sectors, both critical to the economy, were deeply affected but have since been rebuilt. More recently, the global COVID-19 pandemic dealt another blow to Grenada’s tourism industry, on which the nation heavily depends.

OM in Grenada is passionate about mobilizing churches and believers to share the love of Jesus with the nations. In partnership with local churches, we equip and inspire individuals for mission, offering opportunities to serve both locally and globally through short-term and long-term outreaches.
