OM in Indonesia works in partnership with a local church, which runs a soccer and basketball school program. Eighty players receive a sports scholarship and Christian education through the school. 

With an increasing number of foreign scholarship opportunities being made available to university students, English is becoming more important and highly sought after. Mercy Teams International has a small work in a major city in Indonesia, building relationships with students through teaching English and assisting them with their studies.
