Taiwan

Taiwan is an island with a colorful history and welcoming people; however, less than five percent of Taiwanese are Christian

The vast majority of Taiwanese are adherents of a combination of Buddhism, Confucianism and Taoism, while a small minority are adherents of Christianity. Hakka speakers are among some of the most unreached peoples in the nation.

OM developed a local community outreach, especially among Hakka people in Taiwan.  People in Taiwan are very welcoming of foreigners. They like to practice their English and meet new people. Opportunities exist to teach English in schools and Bible classes.  There are also many opportunities to do ministry in partnership with the local churches.

OM in Taiwan also aims to equip and mobilize Taiwanese Christians into world missions. This is done through promoting short- and long-term missions opportunities, discipleship and training, and creating missions awareness and education.
