OM in Costa Rica is focused on mobilizing the church to world missions and on meeting the physical and spiritual needs of Costa Ricans

Costa Rica is famous for its fertile land, frequent rainfall, its well-educated population and its location. One quarter of Costa Rica’s land is dedicated to national forests, often adjoining picturesque beaches, which has made the country a popular destination for affluent retirees and tourists. 

OM has several different ministry opportunities in Costa Rica. The indigenous communities of Costa Rica live in extremely remote areas, the majority in the mountains of Talamanca. We have a ministry in this area called, “Live Talamanca,” which strives to bring tangible transformation by meeting social, developmental and spiritual needs through long-term discipleship. 

Our next ministry is called Pearl Process. Through this ministry, we strive to reflect Jesus, and holistically transform the lives of women at risk, to help them rise up out of poverty, oppression and exploitation through discipleship, mentoring, workshops and self-help groups.  

Finally, we seek to mobilize the Costa Rican church. We seek to spark a passion in the local church for missions throughout the world, through church visits, presentations, mission events and outreaches. OM in Costa Rica connects individuals with a heart to serve God with local, national and global opportunities to spread the gospel.
